We are pleased to announce an upcoming Amateur Radio Technician Licensing Course hosted by the Dorchester County Emergency Management Department in partnership with the Trident Amateur Radio Club. This course offers an excellent opportunity for those interested in amateur radio, emergency communications, or supporting local resilience through auxiliary communications during disasters and special events.
The course is free of charge. There is a $10 fee to take the exam, and upon passing, the FCC will issue a 10-year license for $35.

- Instruction is designed for beginners—no prior experience is required.
- The course prepares you to pass the FCC Technician License exam and begin operating on amateur frequencies.
- The class will be following the latest edition of the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual
