The 2011 Jamboree-on-theAir (JOTA) was held on 15-16 October 2011. Setup began on the Friday preceding.
The primary location was Oscar, AI4SS's Farm (Camp Oscar) on 4476 River Road, John's Island, SC. Other locations were Camp Ho Non Wah 226 Boy Scout Road, Wadmalaw Island, SC and Camp Moultrie (Directions to Camp Moultrie).
Amateur Radio operators from the Trident Amateur Radio Club (TARC) operated HF and VHF stations to allow Scouts and Leaders to make contact with other JOTA sites around the USA and worldwide.
Amateur stations were active from 07:00EDT on Saturday, 15 October till 12:00EDT, Sunday, 16 October 2011.
Scouts were provided the opportunity to attend Amateur Radio and electronics classes, to help them in obtaining related merit badges and other awards.
Scouts and leaders, along with some volunteers, camped out at the sites.

CALL SIGNS
 
Camp Oscar, Camp Ho Non Wah and Camp Moultrie all used the Call Sign WN4BSA which is the Club Call held by Cam Ho Non Wah. Ed Padgett, W4NSC is the trustee for the call.
