FIELD DAY 2010

 
Berkeley County ARES/RACES and Berkeley County Emergency Preparedness Department (EPD) hosted the Trident Amateur Radio Club (TARC) of Charleston, SC, for Field Day, at the Berkeley County Emergency Operations Center (EOC), 223 North Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, from 2:00PM on 26 June till 2:00PM on 27 June.
A "Western Shelter" system was setup in the open field to the right of the EOC building. The shelter is environmentally controlled and is powered from a 45KW generator.
 
HF Operations were conducted as a 2A station, using the TARC calls W4ANK and N4EE. Voice, Digital and CW modes were used. A VHF/UHF station was operated along with a Get on the Air (GOTA) station.
Tours of the EOC were conducted from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, 26 June.
Berkeley County EMS, EPD, Sheriff's Office "HEAT" (Highway Enforcement Aggresive Traffic) vehicle and the Berkeley County Mobile Command Post had equipment on display to the public.
